Barb and Maggie from One Fund Boston filled their Prius with the remaining quilts to transport them to Boston for distribution.

Photos of the holiday event on December 2 at Spaulding Rehab Hospital are below with survivors picking out quilts of their own at the end of the evening. There were such smiles and excitement! It was awesome to be a part of such a wonderful group of people even for a short time.

There is a holiday event on December 2 for victims and their families. Quilts will be distributed at this event and photos will be posted. Again, thank you to all who have helped make this project a success!

Jeff’s is named “Still the Same” and consists of the original “9-patch” and a newer block called the “Disappearing 9-patch”. A new quilt from an old block.

The quilt Linda C. made for Jeff is called “Five Friends Gone Fishing” honoring the friends who went to watch the 5th friend running in the Boston Marathon. The quilt represents friendship, fishing, camping, lakes, woods and wildlife.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. I may not be able to drop off in person the blanket I have been crocheting, is there a specific address I can mail it to? From a previous post I read that they would accept crocheted blankets. Thanks, Barbara
